The Manufacturing Execution System is a computing platform that links the ERP management system (Purchasing, Planning, Warehousing, etc.) to production resources (machines, production lines) on a plant level.

M.E.S. aims to increase plant productivity by optimising resource management, thereby improving:

  • Efficiency: Machine efficiency (OEE: Overall Equipment Efficiency) by controlling machine states.
  • Manufacturing order management: instantaneous information about manufacturing order state; amount outstanding, completed, expected completion date, etc.
  • Traceability: ascendant, descendant and transversal traceability, including process conditions under which batches have been produced.
  • Logistics by means of bar code labelling of intermediate and end batches, automatically updating warehouses (production and consumable)
  • Onsite quality control, manual and automatic, through the integration of measurement equipment.
